WHY AM I HERE?

About

Why do I want to be on a team?

Ever since I was a kid, my passion for this sport has defined my life. Being apart of a college equestrian team will give me the opportunity to push myself and join of a community that shares my dedication and passion for this sport. This environment will not only enhance my riding skills but also instill lifelong values of team work and perseverance, helping me excel in my adult years. I know being on a college team will help me grow as both a rider and individual.

The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team.

Family/team

Growing up, I played many team sports like soccer, volleyball, and basketball. I grew to realize that riding was not like any of these sports. In riding, your team is you and your horse, and you compete individually. Though you aren’t competing with your barn, they are still there to guide you and cheer you on from the gate and the stands. I am lucky to have one of the best barn families out there. Even though they are not competing with me, we are still a team. Being on many sports teams and having a supportive barn has taught me how to be a team player. I understand the power of collaboration and I know that the success of a team relies on each member’s contributions. Whether in a classroom or an arena, I strive to uplift those around me, Knowing that together, we can achieve great things.
