Riding/ Training Program
About
Riding:
I ride 6 days a week, giving my horses one day off each to rest for the upcoming week. Within those 6 days, I ride my 2 horses and occasionally hop on the lesson horses when my trainer needs me to. 3 of the 6 days are dedicated to flat work with my horses, and I sometimes set up ground poles to keep their minds engaged. The other 3 days consist of lessons.
Training Program:
I train with Sydney Hott. My lessons change weekly based on what my horses or I need to work on. Lessons vary from flat work, pole work/ gymnastics, and coursework. This training program has taught me that flat work is the foundation of everything in this sport. You can’t accurately ride without mastering the basics on the flat. My trainer pushes to constantly improve my skills and expand my capabilities. She challenges me to step out of my comfort zone, improve my techniques, and strive for excellence in every ride. I am thankful for my trainer’s endless support and the strong work ethic and relentless pursuit of my goals she has instilled in me.
